The JetBoils can do it! ...and wots inside of pannier bag? PART II /ジェットボイルにお任せ！ ・・・そしてツーリングパニアには何が入ってるのか？ その二

　　My brompton is green. Not British green. Is there any British green Brompton in other countries or is there a coulour called BRITSH GREEN?? I do not know well about the word British green in English language. Maybe there will be or maybe there won't be... I knew the BRTISH RACING GREEN, although the definition of the coulour is not unclear.

　　僕のブロンプトンは緑です。ブリティッシュ・グリーンと言う色ではないです。そもそも、ブリティッシュ・グリーンと言う色が英語にあるのかどうか知りません。ブリティッシュ・レーシング・グリーンと言う色は前から知っていますが、その色の絶対的な定義があるのかは不明です。

　　In Japan, there are so many British green Bromptons available!! LOL
Mizutani bikes, an importer of Bromptons in Japan, is using the term BRITISH GREEN. That was the colour of green in Brompton Bicycles term and is now British racing green. I think lots of Japanese Bromptonauts love Mizutani Bikes don't they!
I suddenly remember this thing by last week's the mask incident, AKA Japan Flu. Almost all the people were using masks for avoiding the swine flu. No one use a mask this week. We Japanese people tend to be take something on blind faith very easily. I dare say no, I am not. We live in the age of the nets, so we can search things with no big deals don't we! I would like to try something by myself first. I have never called it "green" in Japanese language because we have Japanese word midori (green). My brompton is an oritatami jitensya(falding bike) but not a fohru dhingu baiku (falding bike).
We have lots of loan words and I do not want to use these ambigious loan words in my every day life.
Again, my brommie is in green colour not in BRITISH GREEN colour.


　　ですが、日本では恐ろしい程沢山のブリティッシュ・グリーンのブロンプトンが有るのです（爆）ミズタニ自転車が勝手に付けたのだと思いますが、自転車屋さん、おっとちがった「ショップ」の人も、消費者、いや「コンシューマー」とか「カスタマー」も緑とは言わずに「ブリティッシュ・グリーン」を使ってる訳ですね。連合王国（イギリスの事です。「英国」と言う表現は止めましょう、元は中国語でEnglandの音訳ですのでBritish,UK と言う意味はないです。）のブロンプトンの本社では今年からブリティッシュ・レーシング・グリーンと言う表記に変わってますが、それ迄はグリーンと言う表現でした。つまり単なる緑ですね。更に最近の自転車「ショップ」は黒とか緑とか赤とか銀とは言わずに普通に「ブラック」「グリーン」「レッド」「シルバー」と恥ずかしい事を堂々とやってますね。この手の格好の悪さは自転車「ショップ」だけでなく色んな「ショップ」がやってますし、多くのブログをやってる人も安易に横文字を羅列してますね。僕はしませんけど。僕のブロンプトンは、折り畳み自転車で、「フォールディング・バイク」ではないです。

「フォールディング・バイク」に乗って、「オフ」の日に「ポタリング」に行き「ランチ」して、「スイーツ」を。みたいな表現が溢れてるのは違和感が有ります。普段から日本語を心がけたいものです。

「スイーツ」は「スイーツ（笑）」も参照下さい。

何か、先週迄の殆どの人々がマスクを妄信的に着用してるのを見て上の事を思い出しました。何でも自分で調べた方が良いなと思います。インターネットの時代になってとても便利に色んな事が調べれる訳ですから。 今週は誰もしてませんけどね、マスク。

僕のブロンプトンは緑色ですよ。「ブリティッシュ・グリーン」ではありません。

とまぁ、書き出しと今日の内容は全然関係ないですけど（笑）


　　I have got two pots for JetBoil. One is a smaller, called JetBoil Personal Cooking System, PCS. The other is called Group Cooking System, PCS.
PCS is very useful for a personal use, but it leaves something to be desired to cook more than a pot noodle or an instant cup soup. When you are going for a cycling with your friends, say you and your girl friend or with couple of your best friends, PCS is not good enough rationing for the party! So here comes GCS.

　　大小二つのジェットボイルのポットを持っています。小さいのはPCS、大きい方はGCSと言う名前になってます。Gはグループ、Pはパーソナル、個人て事ですね。で、Pは個人用としては大変重宝です。けど、友達とか二〜三人で自転車などで出かけた時には、お茶くらいは湧かせてもそれ以上はちょっとキツいです。



　　PCS can boil less than a litter, approximately 500 ml or so. It is good enough for your pot noodle or ramen. Perhaps good enough for 2 cups of nice hot tea and you can carry it whenever you go with out big efforts because it is light and all in one package. You do not have to carry a pot, burner, and cup separately, they are all included in a smart bottle. It always makes hot water rapidly, almost same time as you are preparing tea/ramen. GCS follows this marvelous idea and it also has a patent design of fluxring. GCS can boils more than a litter and it can contain approximately of 1.5 ltiters, so much more easy for cooking. Although it takes much time for boiling water compare to PCS, but it seems much nicer than using different brands pot for JetBoil's burner.

　　PCSは500ml位のお湯を沸かすのに適しています。カップラーメンとか、コップ二杯ほどのお茶とかそう言うのには問題なしです。しかも、ポット、カップ、バーナーと別々に用意する必要も無くそれらが一つのものとして組上げられます。しかも、お茶やラーメンの用意をしてる間にもう、お湯が沸いてしまうくらい早い。GCSもこの素晴らしい概念を基本にひきついでいます。1.5L程がGCSには入り、1L以上もこれで煮炊き出来ます。ジェットボイルの特許のフラックスリングによりこちらも効率的にガスを使えます。PCSに比べるとどうしても効率や早さでは劣るかも知れませんが人数分の調理にはジェットボイルのバーナーにはこのポットが適してるのでは無いでしょうか？
では、これらもブロの前鞄に突っ込んで行きましょう。




GCS
Thai-style noodle for 2 person.
a packet of rice noodle about 100g. some chicken meat.
some vegis: cabbage, carrot, been sprouts, mush rooms and whatever you like.
fish sauce, herbs or lemon salt etc., if desired. chicken was seasoned with salt, pepper, herbs and lemon.
1.stir chicken a little then add water dribs and drabs.steam and roast in covered pan.
2.put veges in it. water comes out from veges that makes tasty soup so no water is needed except from dribs & drabs.
3. put rice noodle in pot. thermal insulation cooking, just leave it 5 mins or so.
4.add fish sauce, herbs etc.,

GCS
タイ風汁ビーフン　二人分
ビーフン100g　鶏肉少々。野菜　キャベツ、人参、もやし、キノコ類。その他お好みの野菜等。魚醤、クレージーレモンなどのスパイス等あればお好みで。鶏肉には塩こしょうや香味野菜などとレモン汁を振っておく。
１鶏肉を軽くいためる。少し水を足して蒸し焼きに。
２野菜を入れる。野菜から水が出るのでこれと鶏肉で充分にスープが出来る。
３ある程度日が通るとビーフンを入れる。これで火を止めて保温調理する。もやしもこの時にいれる。
４魚醤や香味野菜などを加えて出来上がり。

PCS
Budae Jjigae or Korean style stew with noodle for 1 person
Osaka has got the largest Korean community in Japan, I guess. Korean people live　almost every city and town in Osaka. Even so, not many Osakans know this Korean food. Of course, we Osakans love Korean foods though. This is made by Korean ramen and its taste is similar to budae jjigae. I added soy milk this time.

PCS
ブテ鍋風インスタントラーメン　一人分
日本ではあんまり知られてないがブテ鍋（大阪は日本で一番韓国人の居住人数が多かったと思うが、恐らく殆どの大阪人はブテ鍋を知らないと思う）と言う韓国の庶民料理がある。それをインスタントラーメンでやってみた様なやつ。冬の寒い時など体が暖まる。それに今回は豆乳を加えて作ってみた。
なお、今回の食材は全てshop 99で購入した。

韓国ラーメン　ソウセージ　洋風野菜ミックス（って名前がダサ過ぎの冷凍食品）
そして、今回はこれに豆乳を加えた。

1ソーセージを炒める。これも少し水を加えて蒸し焼きが良い。
2野菜を加える。火が通ったら水を足して茹でる。
3沸騰したら火を止めて麺を加える。これも保温調理で4〜5分置く。
5最後にスープを加える。これでも充分に辛くて旨いブテ鍋風のラーメンが食べられるが、今回は最後に豆乳を加えて一煮立ちさせて食べる。







　　IMO, JetBoil really goes bikes for cities. You can get food stuff very easily at super markets, 24 hours shop, 100 yen shops, corner shops, etc.. Also there are parks in the cities, you might find tap water easily. As I showed in my blog before, it can be put in the back pocket of Brompton's touring pannier bag.

Katura river, Yodo river... and wots inside of touring pannier? /桂川〜淀川 そしてツーリングパニアには何が入ってるのか？

　　Last Friday I had sort of an arrangement in Kyoto. I took my brommie as usual and I was alone on the way back to Osaka, so I decided to try to go back to Osaka along Katura gawa(katura river)cycling road, Yodo gawa(Yodo river) cycling road. It takes about 40 km from Kyoto to Osaka. I cycled Yodo gawa cycle road many times, but I have never been to Kyoto yet. I have been to right in front of Kyoto Pref. I was not sure of the way, and it seemed to me nothing difficult apart from I had no maps!
I have got a PowerBook in my bag.

　　この前の金曜に京都でちょっとした打ち合わせがあったので、この時にもブロを持って行きました。帰りは一人だったので、桂川〜淀川沿いで大阪迄自走で帰ろうと思いました。淀川沿いは何度か走ってますが、京都迄は来た事がありません。大阪と京都のつなぎ目の辺りの道がどう行けば良いのか善く解りませんが、まぁ大した事は無いだろうと思いました、但し地図も持ってないんですけどね。
けど、パワーブックを持ってます。


　　At first, I went to McDonald's Sai in branch and logged in for searching the way on the internet. I cycled up and down this cycle road with otake bfore. It is gorgeous place for riding bikes!

　　まず、マクドの西院店に向かいます。ここでネットに繋いで、地図等を調べます。桂川は今迄otakeさんと何度か行き来してますが、確かに魅力的な道です。

　　I like Macintosh, no that is NOT a misspell of a rain coat, it is a computer by Apple Inc.. I do use PCs, but I like Mac personally. My one is PowerBook G4 12, the last edition of 12 inches family.

　　マッキントッシュが好きで使ってます。あ、連合王国（所謂イギリスの事。英国と言う日本語は止めましょう、最良な日本語とは言えないですが、英国と言うのよりはましです。）製のコートでは無くて、アップル社製の電子計算機、電算機、つまりコンピュータです。僕のはパワーブックの12インチ、そうちょっと前のマックです。仕事でウインドウズ等も使ってきましたが、マックが使いよいです。今使ってるのは１２インチの最終機種です。


　　I bought it quite recently. Last October the new lines of MacBook was released and I was interested in it. All the same, I like this 12 inch series for its design and function, indeed, I love it! So I bought 12 inch again, in stead of the latest Intel Mac.. Last December I found this Mac., and it was quite a bargain, at a retail store chain SofMap, for computers and appliances, in Nipponbasi, Osaka Prefeture. It was almost brand new for older Macs. Of course I knew that the newer, the better, and new13 inch, is lighter than 12 inch, but I like this design and the new series leave something to be desired for me. I cannot describe well. Yes, they are cool as usual Macintosh design, but I like 12 inch for some reason.


　　しかもこれは割に最近買いました。去年の10月にインテルマックのマックブックの新しいのが出て興味はあったのですがこの12インチシリーズが可成り気に入ってるので、敢えて中古の１２インチにしました。去年の年末にソフマップで結構安い値段で出ていたので、中途半端にスペックダウンしたインテル搭載のMacBookよりも使い慣れてるし愛着もあるので結局これにしました。しかも状態も良くあまり使い込んだ感じがありません。13インチのマックブックも値段は安くなってるし、機能はこれとは比べようも無いくらいに進化してますし、軽くもなってます。けど、12インチのこの簡潔なデザインが私の好みに今の所ぴったりとします。

My former PowerBook was very first edition so it had USB 1.0, not 2.0 and CPU 867Mhz. New one is USB 2.0, CPU 1.5Ghz. I am not doing editing of videos or something very creative things with PowerBook, so this is good enough for me at the moment.

　　EモバイルのDO2HWを繋げて外でも使います。
前まで使っていたPowerBookは初期型のものなので、usbは1.0でしたし、cpuも867mhzでした。しかしこれはusbは2.0ですし、cpuも1.5ghzです。別に出先で映像の編集や大掛かりな制作をする訳ではないのでこれで全然問題ないです。MacBookも確かに良いのですけど、今のデザインと大きさはちょっと中途半端かなとも思います。

wen u r not sure of the way u r goin just check the net on the spot. the gadget covers almost all the area in kanasai region apart from in the mountains. i came around here first time so i had 2 look up the way in the net.
もしどこを走ってるのか解らなく成ればその場で調べる事も出来ます。Eモバイルは山間部は除く関西のほぼ全域を網羅してます。この辺りは初めてなので一応確認しておきます。


@ last i entered osaka pref. & i got lost. i went 2 mcdonalds again & had a nice cup o coffee. actually its really nice 4 a cup for 100yen of free refills!!!

the bag named "g4 protect". i put mac, cables and some gadgets for mobile computing in this bag.
G４プロテクトと言う名前の専用鞄にマック、イーモバ、ケーブル等々を詰め込みます。

　　I usually put Mac and things in "G4 protect" bag and put it in my Brommie's touring pannier with out its switching off. There always are; poncho, rain hat, water proof cover for the bag. These things surround the PowerBook in my bag. The rest of the things I usually put in my bags are; a soup, basic tools and some medical kit for minor injuries.
In Japan, front carrier system is optional part and you have to obtain it there are some bromptonnauts who never use it! That's too bad.

　　で、これらを専用鞄に入れて、それをブロのツーリングパニアに入れます。電源も落とさずに蓋をしてスリープ状態にしてそのまま入れます。ツーリングパニアにはいつも必ずポンチョ、レインハット、パニア用のカバーが入ってますのでこれらでPowerBookを囲む感じにして緩衝剤の替わりにします。他に装備してるものは石けんと、パンク修理用の簡単な工具と消毒用の液体と絆創膏です。これだけ入れても他にもまだまだ入ります。全くブロンプトンの専用鞄を使わないのは宝の持ち腐れです。

i m really interested in this bag. since i saw it on the net by chance i thought this must b the successor of touring pannier. apparently, the bag hasnt yet come 2 uk coz i cant find any news on it by english or on uks sites. are they selling only in holland? is there someone could tell me the bag? i even dont know about the wots the front like...
このバッグが前からズーと気になってます。これが09年のツーリングパニアとなるのかなと去年から思っていましたが、そうでもないようです。しかも、これは本国のukでも売られてないらしくて、まだオランダでしか無い様です。前の形状がどんなかんも知りません。何方かご存知ならばお教え下され。

　　At that time I had to buy a new mobile phone because my one had been broken, and I had to buy my Mac. I was going to post it on my blog. However, that the thief did steal my brommie, which just had been modified and spent some money for it. Actually, I could afford much more expensive Mac, but I considered over and over again. I think I was right about that because it was just before Christmas season, my mobile was broken and had to get new one ASAP, and Mac was needed. Then stolen and took back, fix up it again. After all, I spent some money more than I expected! I was lucky to get my favourite design PowerBook by bargain, wasn't I ?!
　　
　　このパワーブックを買った時には色々と物入りでした。まず、携帯が壊れましたので、新しいのを購入しないとダメでした。もう少しマックにお金をかけようかなとも思いましたが、これにして良かったなとも思います。正月前でしたし、色々と残しておかなければいけないし、ブロの改造費にも使ってましたし、しかもその改造されたばかしのブロが盗まれ更に手元に戻って来てそれにもお金をかけたりと、なんやかんやとお金が要りました。ですんで、結構安い値段で気に入りのマックが手に入ってるので良しとしたいです。

THE CYCLING ROAD OR THE ROAD ALONG YODOGAWA IS TERRIBLE!!
THIS IS THE VERY IDEA OF JAPANESE GUVERNMENT AND BUREAUCRATS ARE NOT SERIOUS ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT BECAUSE THEY THINK BIKES ARE NOT IMPORTANT MEANS OF MODERN DAY LIFE, HOWEVER, MANY WESTERN COUNTRIES ARE USING BIKES AS ALTARNATIVE VEHICLE OF TRANSPORTATION....
It was lovely, indeed, cycling along Katura river in Kyoto, but when you are cycling along Yodogawa you will be soon anoyed by the objections and bollards which stand every 5 km or so for preventing motor cycles and cars for going to the cycling road. 　I suppose this also is wasting of tax! They say it works for security in peace, but this is absurd idea and it is only bullying for cyclists.I have never heard voices from cyclists and general public of this is a really nice idea. There must be something different method and it should be. BECAUSE THERE WAS NOTHING LIKE THAT IN KYOTO! IS KYOTO HARMED BY VANDALLISM OF MOTOR CYCLE AND CARS? NO!

Is this waht I want to say in today's theme? Probably....no. I wasn't going there but I thought I'd better write it blatantly for some reason. I' d like to belive bright future of bikes!

桂川、詰まり京都の自転車道は素晴らしいです、それは大阪の淀川沿いを暫く走ればすぐに気がつきます。そして更にこの淀川沿いから見えて来るのは、行政や官僚は自転車や、自転車専用道路と言うのを真剣には捉えていないと言う事が解る筈です。自転車は代替交通手段としても重要と言う風には全然考えてないと言う姿勢がこの淀川沿いの道路に現れています。
淀川を走ると、それこそ５km前後に車止めがあり、これが自転車の滑らかな走行を阻みます。何故、この様なものがこの道に必要なのか解りません。こう言ってはなんですが、これも税金の使い方を間違ってる様な気がします。自転車乗りでこの方法に大賛成と言う意見は知りませんし、恐らく一般の方も疑問に思われてると思います。
欧州等では、行き詰まった都市交通や環境問題対策としての一つの積極的な答えとして自転車を優先化させていますが大阪や日本を政治的に運営してる人はそうは思ってはいない様です。なぜ、自転車の様に環境や健康そして文化的にも良い影響を与えそうなものを積極的に生活に取り入れる取り組みに挑戦しないのでしょうか？　この様な車止めが人々の生活に本当に役に立っているのでしょうか？　車止めのない京都のサイクリングロードは、単車や危険行為を起こす者達が侵入して道路や市民生活に深刻な悪影響を及ばしては居ないのでしょうか？　無いと思います。つまり、そんな車止めは行政の嫌がらせではあっても、市民社会を平穏に保つ為の道具としては役不足と思います。

で、今日はこんな事が言いたかったのではないのですが、一応これはこれでこういう風に書いておこうと思いました。自転車の明るい未来を信じたいです。

　　I came around Kamikosawa station by bike several times, but it was not by brompton, it was another folder Birdy, and that has got lighter gear for climbing hills. I knew the area is very nice to visit by bike on my own, and I thought A2C would love it. We headed for a bit more, just a bit more...

　　上古沢の辺りには何度か来た事があります。けど、それはフレッタでですので、もっと軽く登れました。この辺りは大分と雰囲気が違うのでA2Cさんも気に入るだろうと、もうちょっと行きましょうかと進んで行きました。

　　We were going the moderate incline, gentle curve in the country.
It was getting darker and danker, but it was going slowly like we were up hilling. Usually, during the day time the road is very busy because the are and the destination, Kouyasan is one of UESCO's World Heritages in Japan, is popular world widely by tourists and pilgrims. Fortunately, our un planned tour (yes, may be it can be called as 'pottering' because we had not decided to where/what to, but at that time we cycled over more than 50 km and I do not think this can not be 'pottering' or 'rambling' for that matter, do I ? ) started just after half past 17 so there were fewer car drivers going up the hill. That was lucky for us, the cars killing you, especially Nankai Buses kill you by BLACK GAS EMISSION of exhaust!!! I am not sure about the contents of the gas, but it is obviously unpleasant to follow the bus thorough the gas and the gas seems to be not good for the environment. I headed the road and I found the sign, it says '17km to Kouyasan'. I waited A2C and I asked him again and he answered again 'if we could'. I told him the hill is going to be steep from here and it takes me much more energy and mental, however, I believe that we can do it for some reason, so we should give it try. He said yes and we headed. At that time, we are 200 or 300 m up in the mountains and the peak of Kouyasan is about 800 m.

　　緩やかな傾斜や曲がり角を、ゆっくりと登って行きます。段々と暗くは成って行きますがそれもゆっくりとそう成って行きます、まるで我々が坂を上るのに会わせるかの様に。普段日中はこの道は大変車通りが多い所です。世界遺産でもある地域で観光客や巡礼がそれこそ世界中からやってきますので。
今回、この無計画ポタ（ポタと言っても良いかも知れませんw。多分、自転車ブログ、自転車雑誌などでポタリングと使ってる意味としてはこう言う風な意味だと思うのですが、如何せんその言葉のもとの出所とか不詳なんですがどうもそう言う事を言いたいのではないかと。けどこの時点で５０km位は乗ってるので、ブラブラすると言う語感ではないですよ。だから矢張り違うと思うな〜、っと言うかポタリングは和製英語ちゃうんかな。）のこの時はもう五時半を過ぎてましたので、山に登って行く車は少なかったので、これは大変救いでした。何と言うても車通りの多いとこですし正にやられると言う感じです。そして以前何度か南海バスが黒煙をもうもうと上げながら坂を上ってるのを見て大変疑問に思いました。あんなの絶対に環境に優しくないし、あの後を走るのは車でも嫌がる人が多いと思います。そんな殺人的な排ガスの中を自転車と言うのは決して良い感じがしません。勿論その排ガスの成分な何か知りませんよ！「環境に配慮した」とか言うのかも知れませんが、人間と言う動物としてあれとは共存しにくいなと直感的に思いました。
で、さらに進んでますと、看板に「高野山17km」とあるのでその辺りでA2Cさんを待ちます。そしてもう一度聞きます。「行けそうなら行きましょ」と言う事ですんで、こう言います。「こっからいよいよ本格的に登りになるで、体力的、精神的にも結構根性いるけど今日は何となく行けそうな気がする。折角やから行くだけ行くか？」　更に先を続ける事になります。この時点ではまだまだ高度は200〜300mなんですよね、確か。因に高野山は800mです。

青いのは、月を撮りました。ブログの写真の殆どは私の携帯のカメラで撮ったので、良く撮れてません。ブログとカメラが趣味のA2Cさんは、なんとカメラの電池切れ。写真を期待していましたが・・・大丈夫かあつし・・・。


　　There were also not much numbers of oncoming cars on the road, but there were, and it is not nice to see careless speeding cars, and they did not either expect to see the small wheelers in the middle of the high mountains, do they! We switched the dynamos on for presence and our safety. It made us hard to climb a bit. I felt strange feeling. At first I was tired and not eager to climbing the mountains, however, I was very energetic and was leading A2C in high spirits. Of course my body and mind is tired. During the day time I felt tired and fed up with the scorching weather. I wore summer trousers for the first time since last time, but I should have wore shorts, so I thought. I was tired just before but not that time.

　　対向車もそれ程ではなかったですが、居るには居てます。で大体皆飛ばしてたりしますんで、あんましいい感じではないです。向こうもこんな山の中で折り畳みの小径車に出会うなんて思ってないでしょうから、びっくりでしょうが。発電機の電源を入れて前後灯を点して遠くからも認識出来る様にして安全を計ります。さて、何度か書いてますが元々そんなに乗り気でもなく、疲れてはいたのですが何故かこの頃には可成り意気揚々としていました。心も体も疲れては居る筈なのですが、先頭をぐんぐん引っ張って行きます。この日初めて夏もののズボンを穿いたのですが、あまりに暑かったので半ズボンにすれば良かったと思った位でした。本当にしんどかった筈ですがこの頃は全然違ってました。

　　A bit heavy, dragging dynamo system is working wonderfully in the mountains where there is no lights. I do not think LED battery lights can well do. I had couple of them, but none is good enough. Brompton's lighting system is wonderful one.

　　確かにブロンプトンの発電機構は多少重いです、ですが充分に素晴らしい働きをしてくれます。もし、電池式のLEDなら旨い事行かなかったと思います。今迄幾つかLEDを使っていましたが、どれも言う程の物ではないです。ブロの発電機構は大変良いです。前の鞄と同様に、この発電機構を使ってない人はブロントンの使い方で損をしてます。

　　The last 10 km or so was very hard for me. I was in high sprits and felt like strange feeling of the Holy Moutain is calling my name. Although I was leading A2C and always waited him on the corners or sign boards for ask him is everything going alright, I felt sick. I thought I am going to vomit. I did not to tell him anything about it, because he would be affected if I say. I pretended that I was alright and said 'a bit more, you'll see it'.

最後の10km程は大変キツく感じられました。それ迄は大変元気よく、あたかも聖なるお山が呼んでるかの様な感覚だったのですが。一応は先頭をぐいぐい引っ張って要所要所でA2Cさんを待っていて、このまま続けるか確認を取っていたのですが、この頃から吐き気もしました。けどそう言う事を言うと悪い雰囲気が伝わるのではないかと思いA2Cさんに黙って「まぁ、もうちょいで着くから」とか言ってました。



　　At last the gate of the holy mountain welcomed us.We visited a shrine and temples, and cycled around the town. Arrived at the gate about 20.00., that means we were cycling around 3 hour from Hashimoto station. The sign board in front of the gate said the temperature of the precinct 12 c.
　　I asked the last question of how to get back. A2C was very interested in my former post about Kouyasan down hill and osen. I did not think it is difficult to do it, but the down hill over 30 km sounds so cold. He said he has not gloves and I did not think my jacket is not go with the situation. I went 'the coming road is easy to access to rail line. There also car drivers and we can ask help in case of emergency, but there seems to be nothing like that for(my favourite road which A2C was interested in) it, and there is no traffic lights, you will just down and down the road that makes you chill, do you really want it? Or we can use a cable car and a train' to A2C. He said 'I would not mind'. 'Really? You wanna go? ', to him. 'Yes, if we could.'
　　DAMN!! ALLLLL RIGHT WE SHALL GO, boy, if you really want to ! 'OK, Let's go. At first we have to climb over the steep hill, and we will see the tunnel, that is the boarder of the area. Today is a full moon night, you will see the very special gorgeous moon when you are get out of the tunnel. ' We headed for the tunnel.

　　そして、ついにお山の山門がお出迎えです。
ここで神社やお寺を回ります。山門に就いたのは20時頃です。詰まり、橋本から3時間程かけてここ迄来たのですね。門前の電光掲示板によると気温は12度です。
　　いよいよ最後の質問になました、どうやって下山するかと。彼は私の以前の記事で高野山からの下りの部分に大変興味を持っており、そうしてみたい様でした。それも別に大した事でも無いのですが、30kmも下って行くには寒そうです。しかも彼は手袋を持って来てませんし、私の上着も下りの風に対応しそうにありません。「行きの道は電車が近くに走ってるし、車も通るからイザと言う時に何とかはなる。けどこっち（彼の興味を持ってる方の道）は外灯もない中をズーと坂を下って行くだけで多分可成り寒い。ドナイや？」と言うと「行けそうなら、行きましょ」と言う。
　　解ったよ、この野郎！んなに行きたいなら行こうやないか！「よし、行こか。最初にちょっとキツい坂を上らんとあかんけど登りきったらそこはトンネルや。んでそれが境界に成ってる。今日は満月やからトンネルを出たらすんばらしい月が見えるやろう」そう言って先を進みます。

　　Unfortunately, the weather of the area was not so good, so the moon was behind the clouds. No lights at all, however, you could see the things. The lights on the Bromptpons worked brilliantly of course, as it did when we were climbing over the hills just before. I dare to say you might be able to do it with out light if you are not speeding. I am always wondering why some of the mountains are not so dark in the night? Perhaps my eyes are accustomed to it.

温泉。もちろんやってません。

　　ところが、天気はあまり良くなくて月は雲に覆われて見えませんでした。外灯などなく暗いのですが、何となく見えます。ここでもブロンプトンの発電機構は見事に威力を発揮します。ですが、ライトなしでも周囲は見えます不思議と。恐らく長時間の暗闇に目が慣れてるのでしょうが、前照灯が無くても大丈夫な様に思えて来ます。

　　After riding of an hour and a half, we arrived in front of the onsen, it was closed, goes with out saying. 'About an hour later we'll be at Kouyashita station,' I said. We left for the station. The road is narrower than R371, and there are falling stones on the road as usual, the light made us recognize them, so we carefully headed for the station hearing the sound of the river flowing.

　　一時間半ほど降りて行くと例の温泉の辺りに出てきます。勿論閉まってますが。「一時間くらいしたら、高野下駅に着く」と告げます。こちらの道は来しなの道と違い狭くて、落石も結構あります。それらを前照灯が照らして、注意深く道を選んで進みます。川の流れる音を聞きながら駅に向かいます。

　　We reached at Kudoyama station instead of Koyashita station about 22.00. We seek the last train for Osaka. According to the time table there is last train on 22.35 for Hashimoto. The fare of Nanakai Line is expensive, very expensive and services are poor.
　　This station also follows ANTI BARRIER FREE POLICY, of course.
To go back to Kitanoda station needs 580 yen! Much, much expensive than Osaka to Sijo station(Kyoto city centre), Namba to Nara station or Osaka to Sannomiya(Kobe city centre) although the distance between this station and Kitanoda station does not seems to be shorter than those another private rail line companies(sorry, I am not sure, but it seems and the bad service is true anyway). We headed for Hashimoto station. But come to think of poor services and not customers first attitude, there might be no last train bound for Osaka from Hashimoto. I made a phone call to Sumitti for a help. I had asked some of my friends to come with us before going to the tour, and she was one and could not attend for some reason. She was not able to coming, but she might be seeing us later of the tour, originally we did not spend much time in Wakayama Pref., and we could get together around 18.00 or 19.00. She searched the last train on the net and said it has already started the station, so there will be no train when you arrive the station! We had no choice but to went to Hashimoto station anyway, I was going to thinking whether I would ask a help for a lift by Summiti or using taxi just passing over the tunnel and cycle down the road to Osaka, while I was cycling to Hashimoto.

　　高野下ではなく、九度山駅に着いたのは22時頃です。時刻で大阪方面行きの最終電車を探します。それによると22時35分と言うのがどうも最終です。南海電車は料金も高いですし、サービス等も言いとは言い難い（ここも勿論アンチバリアフリーを徹底している様です）です。この駅から北野田駅迄戻ると、580円です。大阪から京都四条に行くよりも、難波から奈良に行くよりも、大阪から神戸三宮に行くよりも高いです。距離もそれらよりも短いと思いますが（調べてないから未詳ですが、まぁ優良な旅客サービスでと言う印象は無いです、今迄の実体験から）ライバル会社とは大分違う感じです。ですんであんまり使いたくない気もしますので、もう少し進もうと取りあえず橋本方面迄進みます。しかしこのあんまり良くない旅客サービスとか色々考えると、もう大阪に連絡していないのではないかとも思えて来ました。ここですみっちに電話して聞いてみます。今回も事前に何人かに声をかけていて、彼女もそのうちの一人でしたが、ちょっと用事があって参加出来ないと言うことでした。当日は参加は無理でも、夕方からなら合流出来るかもしれないと言う事だったので、連絡は入れる予定でしたそれで出来れば18時か19時位にでも合流するか等と言っていたのですが。彼女はネットで橋本発大阪方面行きの最終列車を調べてくれ、それは既に出た所だと教えてくれました。もう終電は逃しているのでした。ですが、取りあえずは橋本駅に向かうしかありません。橋本駅に向かいながら、彼女に車で迎えに来てもらうか、それとも峠を越えるのにタクシーに乗り、トンネルを越えたら自走して帰るかとか考えながら走りました。

　　Actually, we were so tired both mentally and physically. Think of that cycling around up in the 800 metre, up and down hills, with small wheel folding bike, is not an easy job. You are passing over the villages like ghost town, there were lots of falling stones, falling woods, you will see no one but you have to concentrate on the road because there were no lights apart from your bike's.
　　In Japanese religion, mountains are very important for pilgrims and trainees of Shintonism and Bhuddism. You have to disciple yourself in those holy mountains. Struggling your self by going to these places and overcome the loneliness. We are not great people like those who did pilgrimages or trained in the mountains, but I could feel the settings of the situation in the very nature.
　　Again, although I was very tired, perhaps I could climbing up Kimi touge, I thought when I saw the modern lights of Hashimoto station. I was in high spirits again. Of course not eager to do that, but I was like something in a fresh feeling, I can not describe it well. Very luckily, Sumitti sent a message for my mobile and it went 'wait around hashimoto i ll coming by car', so
we were salvaged. Thanks!!

　　実際には心も体もくたくたでした。考えても見れば、800mの山を上り下りそれも小径自転車と言うのは、決して簡単に出来ますとは言い難いです。ひっそりと静まり返った集落を抜けて、落石や枯れた小枝が落ちてる道を注意深く、誰も人の居ない暗い道を自転車の前照灯で照らしながらくぐり抜ける。楽勝と言う訳では無かったです。
　　日本の宗教では山は「お山」とも呼ばれて、大変重要な修行の場です。これらのお山で困難や孤独に打ち勝たなくてはなりません。私たちはこれらの偉大な先人達とは全然違いますが、この大自然の偉大な状況と言うのは理解出来そうな気がします。
　　疲れていた筈なのですが、橋本駅前の現代的な街の灯りをみたら、また元気が回復してきました。何だか更に紀見峠必要とあれば登れそうな気もして来ました。そして何よりも大変好運な事にすみっちが車で迎えに来てくれるとのメッセージが携帯に届いてました。なんとか助かった様です、有り難うございます。

　　The cycle computer on A2C says 100 km and something. It surely more than something. I did over 100 km on my Brommie many times, but this is different. Yes, it was fun.

　　A2Cさんのサイコンによると100kmを越えてます。ですが、気持ち的には100km以上です。今迄、何度もブロで100km以上乗ってますが、今回は特別です。勿論、大変面白かったです。

Hurry, potter and the Secret of Holy Mountain (Is this can be called pottering??)/ ハリー、ポッターと聖なるお山の秘密。 これはポタリングと言うか？と言うかポタリングと日本人が使う様に英語で言うのか？

　　I ride Brompton a lot. I knew that Andrew Ritchie rides his Brompton 8000km a year, and I was surprised when I heard of it. 8000 km!! But soon I could believe it because I ride it about 10000km a year.

　　ブロンプトンに物凄い乗ります。アンドリュー・リッチーが年間8000kmほど乗ると前に聞いて驚きましたが、今は全然そうは思いません。自分も10000kmくらい乗ってる様です。

　　I do cycle a lot. I do not blogging a lot lol. But I have been doing not only cycling but also many interesting activities with/with out bikes. I do not blogging like 'I went here and there and I had a special lunch/sweets/treat, bought wonderful goods/gears/etc., etc..' because I do not think that I am not appropriate person for writing that kind of things, aren't I ?! Of course I do sometimes, but most of times I do not with out special reason. I have been to many places with my Brommie, but I did not post them. I went to Yoshino moutain by Brommie or cycle around Nara, I mean it is not popular way of using Brompton because it is a kind of city folders, things like that. I do cycle every day, every week. Yes, I am a lazy blogger and cycling diary is not my aim for my blog, however, I had better write this time.

　　確かに大変乗りますが、ブログは熱心に更新してませんな（笑）けど更新してないだけで相変わらず面白い事はやってますし自転車にも乗ってます。良くブログにある「どこそこに行ってきました。ナニナニなお土産を/限定の商品を買いました。特別なランチ/デザート/ご馳走を食べました」って感じのブログとかなんか僕向きでも無さそうな気もします。ブロで実際色んなとこに行ってますが何となく別に書いてません。吉野とか奈良とか可成り走り込んでますし、ブロの乗り方としてはちょっと変わってる思いますが、その為にワザワザ写真撮って見たいな感じもあんまりないのでついブログに上げないですね。物臭太郎ですな〜。


　　I bought my Brommie at first this bike would be better than my Fretta(Birdy by R&M sold under the brand name of Bianchi in Japan) for commuting because it is compact and easy to take it on trains. I did not expect to use this bike as recreational use, hobby cycling for holidays, however, it surely is now not only recreational gear but indispensable tool of my life. She is very important in my life at the moment, and perhaps it will be. I have been using my Brommie about 4 year. I do not have any serious problem. The other day I could hear strange noise and felt wobbling. I went to Bici Termini as usual. Miyatti, an owner of the bike shop and a friend of mine said it is time to change sprockets and a chain and BB. Sumitti, who rides ivory colour Brompton and her Brommie appears on blog of mine and otake some times, recently installed 44T chain ring. I have got that one for my Brommie. Come to think of transmissions, this must be the first time for changing or servicing.

　　ブロを買う前はBianchi Frettaに乗っていました。で、通勤・輪行を考えた時にブロンプトンの購入に至りました。当初は日常的な足だけで、休日や遠乗りはビアンキでと思っていました。どうせ、そんなにはブロには乗れんやろうと。けど、これがそんな日常の足だけではなく、休日は勿論、極端な話しもうこの自転車は自分の人生の大事な一部とも思えます。ブロに乗って４年ですが、先頃漕いでると異音が聞こえて来るので、いつもの様に友達でBici Terminiのオーナーのミヤッチに見せると「BB交換、チェーン、スプロケも交換」と言う事でした。ちょっと前にすみっち（彼女は象牙色のブロに乗ってます）が44丁クランクに換えたので、クランク・チェーンリングはそちらを頂いて交換。駆動系が刷新される訳ですね。

　　I was going to cycling around south of Osaka with A2C on 11 th April.
The night of the day before I went to Otuki Noh Theatre for seeing Noh and Kyougen. Bici Termini is just a minute on foot from the theatre.
After the drama I was invited to a hanami ( a kind of banquet under the cherry trees) so I went to one of famous shrine in Osaka. I took my friends and Miyatti, though he had jobs to do. It was very interesting and a kind of private party, there were traditional performing artists, producers, media reporters and so on. We enjoyed very cultural conversation and that made me late night sleep.

　　さて、先日の４月１１日はA2Cさんと南大阪方面に行く約束をしていました。その前の日に大槻能楽堂に能を観に行ってました。Bici Terminiはここから歩いて一分程です。観能後、花見に誘われていたので友人達を誘って大阪のとある有名な神社に行きました。ミヤッチも仕事が残ってるが連れて行きました。現場には上方芸能の関係者やアーティストやメディア関係、プロデューサーなど面白い面々でついつい文化談義に花が咲き遅く迄過ごしてしまいました。

　　Then next morning, I did not decide which way to go, what kind places we go in the morning. I felt like test ride for my new installed transmissions. Anyway I was not thinking about apart from south part of Osaka about 3 or 40 km just before left home. I thought that would be fine since I did not sleep well. I met A2C Kitanoda station 11 in the morning. I took him to one my favourite udon (noodle)shop. Yabuuti, the udon shop, serves molokheiya udon which is very popular, you will miss it if you are not there by lunch time. I told him I think we are going to right before Kimi touge(Kimi mountain path) and we may be going over the hill if we could. But the main purpose of the day was eating kamameshi (rice, meat, and vegetables boiled together in a small pot) at a small hut run by old onsen ryokan(a Japanese inn with hot spring) . Yes, it was not mean to serious but just a pastime. So we start to follow the ancient high road of Kouya(Kouya Kaido, actually there were several high ways to kouyasan for pilgrimages) to go to Amamian (no English but it contains English translation of the inn and onsen. )



　　さて、翌朝起きてからもどこに行こうかと言う具体的な事は決めてません。まぁ軽い気持ちで新しい駆動系の調子を見るつもりで極軽く、3〜40kmでもどっかに乗りに行こうか？てな感じです。昨日は遅かったし。そして11時に堺の北野田駅前でA2Cさんと待ち合わせです。まずは駅の近くにある「やぶうち」でうどんを食べます。ここのモロヘイヤうどんが好きなんですが、これは人気があって平日は昼過ぎに売り切れるので、土日の昼にでも行かなければ食べれません。ここでA2Cさんに今日は高野街道沿いに天見迄行きそこで釜飯を食べましょう。そして余力があれば紀見峠を越えて橋本くらいに行き帰りは輪行で帰りましょう、などと話す。A2Cさんはこの辺は初めてなのでお任せと言う感じです。この時は全然、ガンガンと乗る感じではなかったです。で高野街道を聖地高野山方面に向かいます。

　　To go to Amamian is very fun, you are away from busy car road, though you have to go with cars sometimes. Instead of cars and emissions there are a river, paddy fields and small villages. Lovely, isn't it! About an hour later you will see a small traditional hut right in front of Amami station. After we had kamamesi we decided to go to over the moutain path of Kimi. I went to Hasimoto city, Wakayama Pref., by using this way several times, and I thought it does not matter for us, although I was a bit of tired and the temperature is high, almost summer! "The path is not so steep, Sumitti, she rides Brompton 6 speed, also did it. It's a piece of cake, not hard. We should use train when we are going back to Osaka, you know, " I said to him.

　　あまみ庵に行く位は体した事無いです。途中車の通る道も通過しますが、前回A2Cさん達を連れて行った奈良越えの道の様に、車や排気ガスから離れて、川沿いの道を田んぼや集落を眺めながら進んで行きます。全く素晴らしい景色が続きます。大体一時間程行くと鄙びた古民家を天見駅前に見ます。ここがあまみ庵です。食後、紀見峠を越えようと言う事に成りました。私もこの峠を越えて何度か和歌山迄行った事あるし、すみっちもここを越えて和歌山に行けたので、体した事は無いとA2Cさんに伝えます。でも確かにちょっとしんどかったし、何より暑かったですこの日は。

　
　　Just between the top of the mountain and Hashimoto station there is a McDonald's. We had an ice cream and a Mc shake because it was very hot like summer! We needed something sweet and cool. I logged in by using YAHOO BB LAN service.I found a new post by Bici Termini‘s blog about my Brommie's hub. I commented on the spot.

　　峠の頂上と橋本駅の間にマクドがあるのでそこで甘み補給と休憩を取ります。まるで夏の様でしたので、ソフトクリームとシェイクをそれぞれ頼みます。ここはヤフーBBの無線LANが使えるので早速ログイン。そしてテルミニのブログで私のブロのハブの記事を発見。すぐにコメントを入れておきます。


　　Enjoying the hill climbing and the down hill, we reached Hasshimoto station around 17.00. Yes, this station keeps Anti Barrier Free Policy. It is very hard to use those who is handicapped, the elder and using folders as a positive mean of Anti Destruction of Nature. Nankai, JR do not care much about these things, do they?! Mind you, this kind of policy is not only at out skirts like this station but in the city of Osaka for Nankai's part! They do not think that rail line business is a service industry.

　　峠の登りと一気に下りをを楽しんで橋本駅に向かいます。すでに五時でした。そう、ここ橋本駅は例の『アンチ・バリアフリー体制』を採ってる所です。障害のある方やお年寄り、更に環境保全を真剣に考えて折り畳み自転車などを活用してる人たちには大変厳しい所です。南海やJRはこう言う事はあんまし気にしないのでしょうね。まぁ、南海に関して言えば大都会大阪市内でさえも『アンチ・バリアフリー体制』を採る凄い所です。あんまりサービス業と言う意識は無いんでしょうね。

　　I asked him if he wants for more of cycling, and he said yes, so we headed for Koyashita station because the area is very different atmosphere from this city. I hope he would get satisfied by the scenery of the area. We cycle along Kinokawa(Kino river) and then arrived to Koyashita station. Compare to Hashimoto station this station is very small and you will feel you are traveling now. Before arriving the station I was really tired. To be honest, I wanted to go back Osaka as soon as possible, however, I thought it is not so interesting to just back to Hashimoto and take a train to Osaka for A2C for some reason, although we cycled a lot today, I do not why.

　　橋本迄来ましたが、もう少し進みたいかA2Cさんに聞いてみると「行けるならばと」と応えが返ってきます。ならばもう少し雰囲気の違う高野下駅迄向かう事にします。ここならA2Cさんも満足するのではなかろうかと思います。けど実は疲れてたし出来ればもう、本当は帰りたかったんですけど何となくあっけない感じがしたのではないかなと思いもう少し続ける事にしました。
